When creating a digital story...

  • Write out the story.
  • Use the Writing Process guidelines to assist in this process.
  • Keep a log during the process that will make certain you are answering necessary questions.
  • Determine the pictures that are needed as well as where in the story they should fall.
  • Use the digital software to create the story, being certain that the picture transition lines up with the narration of the story.
  • Make certain that the length of the story is appropriate for its purpose. If the story needs to be downloaded to personal computers, the length will have an impact on others' ability to access the story. For longer stories, consider using a CD to distribute the story to others.
